Taking inspiration from the Cornish coast,

from the wild and untamed to the quiet and calm.

Penny continues to be drawn to and inspired by Cornwall’s coastline and scenery, much of which she’s discovered and experienced when running and exploring the South West Coast Path.

As well as being captivated by the movement and energy that comes from the Cornish coast, the locations and subjects of Penny’s contemporary Cornish art are associated with her deep, emotional connection to Cornwall, the sea, and her own Cornish heritage.

From sweeping seascapes and cliffs, to the beautiful Cornish villages, each with their own charm and personality, and the quiet, peaceful moments, captured on or by the water. Penny wishes to create a sense of escape, a longing to be near the sea. An experience she relates to everyday.

People Say The Loveliest Things

“We absolutely love Penny’s paintings. I think it’s a combination of the way some of our favourite local happy places are captured and the vibrancy of the acrylic paints. We’ve bought both limited edition prints and original art works, and will continue collecting.”

Penny’s paintings are of a very high standard and capture idyllic scenes around Cornwall. I love them in my home and can’t wait to purchase Jasmine and the Buoys to add to my collection.”

Caroline

“I absolutely love my prints from Penny. For me, she captures the essence of Cornwall’s beautiful and rugged coastline in a way that brings the paintings alive. They’re so lovely to have in my home.”
